Toenail Polish and Figure Skates
Courtney takes a moment to rest after a coaching session one evening. Taking nineteen credit hours and keeping a steady job isn’t exactly easy. She says it’s hard to find time to do the things that most college students take for granted. “Like sleep, I never have time to just relax. It’s always class, work, and homework.”

Olympia
Courtney lifts the door that houses the giant Olympia machine used to smooth out the ice. It is her responsibly to drive the Olympia ice every Thursday night. It’s not an easy job and requires a lot of training time to get behind the wheel. Even Courtney can admit that she has made some mistakes in the past. “A few weeks ago I forgot to take the hoses off the Olympia before backing up. It bent the garage door and bent the piping off the wall. Everything works okay for now but its still eventually going to need replaced.”

Study Night
After a long day, Courtney stays up late to get in some last minute studying as her roommate Sarah Parish is fast asleep. Sophomore year is said to be the hardest for students of her major, but with Courtney’s motivation she should make it though just fine.
