Attendees of the sixth anniversary of the Quecreek Mine rescue assisted Amish volunteers from Ohio in the groundbreaking for the building of the new visitors center. The visitors center will be dedicated to preserving the history of the world-famous Quecreek Mine rescue where nine miners were saved after being trapped underground for four days. (Tribune-Review)

Bushy Run Battlefield
On August 5th and 6th of 1763 British Colonel Henry Bouquet led his troops to defeat the Native American's that had ambushed them at Bushy Run Battlefield. Each year hundreds of visitors come to the battlefield to witness the battle re-enacted. (Tribune-Review)

Band Camp
The Brentwood High School drum line practices during the marching band's annual band camp at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg campus. The marching band is staying on the campus all week, practicing nine hours a day, to prepare for their upcoming season which has a Michael Jackson theme.

Beatles
Carlo Cantamessa who plays John Lennon in the Beatles look alike band "The Cast of Beatlemania" performs at St. Clair park in Greensburg as part of the Summer Sounds serie. The band members, who were selected from thousands of musicians who auditioned for the broadway show, recreate every era of the Beatles' musical career. (Tribune-Review)
